Cody Rhodes’ ex-tag team partner, who is a former WWE star, was recently acquitted of all charges in a huge legal scandal that would have certainly ruined his life. After overcoming that, he is now at WrestleMania 42 in attendance to watch his former partner and mentor in the main event.

Those of you who watched WWE in the late 2000s and early 2010s likely know that we are talking about Ted Dibiase Jr, the son of the legend, Ted Dibiase Sr. While Dibiase Jr. was once put in a pecking order above Cody Rhodes in terms of future potential, but he ultimately got burned out from being on the road and opted to retire from wrestling so he could spend more time with his family. Unfortunately for him, in the last few years, he has been involved in a massive legal scandal that rocked his life. Some of the charges included: “one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and to commit theft concerning programs receiving federal counts of wire fraud, two counts of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds, and four counts of money laundering.” He faced up to nearly 50 years in prison for these, but was ultimately acquitted, which means he is technically and legally not guilty.
