Charlie Woods saved his best golf for the final round of the Terra Cotta Invitational in Naples on Saturday, April 18.

Woods, a junior at the Benjamin School and son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, shot a 3-under 69 in the third round for a tournament total of 3-over 219 at Naples National Golf Club in Naples, Florida. He finished in a tie for 42nd place in the field of 72 golfers, 15 strokes behind South Carolina mid-amateur Connor Doyal, who won by one shot over junior Dawson Lew of Toronto, Canada.

Woods opened with a bogey on No. 1, before closing out the front nine with birdies on No. 6, 7 and 9. He played error-free on the back nine, adding one more birdie on No. 18.

The final round of the South Florida PGA Junior West Coast High School Championship at TwinEagles in Naples. Charlie Woods, son of golf legend Tiger Woods, finished tied for fourth in the event.

Past champions of the Terra Cotta, one of the top-ranked junior events in the nation, include nine-time PGA champion Matt Kuchar (1997), whose son Cameron finished T34 in this year’s tournament, and former world No. 1 golfer Justin Thomas (2010).
