A few days later, The MFTs, without Solo Sikoa, visited the Nellis Air Force Base in Southern Nevada. Tama Tonga led The MFTs since he served in the Air Force before becoming a pro wrestler. He was with Tonga Loa, JC Mateo, Talla Tonga and Michin.
In a post on the AF Thunderbirds’ Instagram stories, Loa jokingly said that all The MFT members were there, including Michin.
The MFTs represented the WWE to visit the Nellis Air Force Base as part of WrestleMania week. Many stars are scattered across Las Vegas and Southern Nevada to do promotional work.
While this visit broke kayfabe considering what happened on Raw, Tama Tonga’s storyline with The MFTs continues to get interesting, especially with Shinsuke Nakamura back in the picture.
Tama Tonga recently celebrated the second-year anniversary of his WWE debut
On the first SmackDown after WrestleMania 40, Tama Tonga made his shocking debut by attacking Jimmy Uso on behalf of Solo Sikoa. It was the start of the formation of a new Bloodline.
It was a monumental moment for Tama’s career after spending 14 years at New Japan Pro Wrestling. They were later joined by Tonga Loa, JC Mateo and Talla Tonga, changing the group name to The MFTs.
In his first two years in WWE, Tama has already become a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion. He also reached the semifinals of the 2024 King of the Ring Tournament, losing to Randy Orton.
With the currently storyline between Tama and The MFTs, it will be interesting to see what’s going to happen next. Shinsuke Nakamura continues to get involved, while another former NJPW star and Bullet Club member, EVIL, reportedly on his way to WWE.
