In a recent interview with TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Ethan Page was asked about whether Shawn Michaels still messes with WWE stars backstage. The answer was a yes, with Ethan Page laying out a particular incident after he joined WWE.

“Yes. He’s the worst.So legitimately in my debut, which I found out maybe he wasn’t joking because we ended up changing how I look, but right before I went out to do my first promo, where I signed my first contract with Ava in the middle of the ring, he looked at me, and he goes, ‘Dude are you really gonna wear that?’I don’t know this guy at all, and I’m about to move my family to Florida; my whole life is getting uprooted. I’m like meticulous about everything, psychotic at times, and I’m like, ‘Okay, I think I got the perfect look.”

He further added:

Like we don’t really know what Ethan Page is in NXT yet, but this is a safe outfit, okay, here we go, first day grabbing the mic, live television; ‘are you really gonna wear that?’ I’m like ‘brother’.So yes, he definitely messes with us.”

Shawn Michaels had an akward encounter with WWE veteran Shelly Martinez

Shelly Martinez apparently had unpleasant interactions with Shawn Michaels.

Speaking on her Too Much Information podcast, Martinez noted that Michaels had once given her the cold shoulder, prompting her to make an infuriated comment about them both being Christians. She said:

“So they were shaking everyone’s hand because it was like, you know, the beginning of the day, whatever. So I went and shook Triple H’s hand. He was always really nice to me. And then when I went to shake Shawn Michaels’s hand, he grabbed his chapstick out and then turned his back to me and started putting his chapstick on. And I just looked at him, and when I was walking away loudly, I was like, ‘Ew, I worship the same God as you, I can’t believe you.’ And I just like started going off,” she said.

While Michaels does appear to have a mean streak in him, his contributions to WWE are undeniable.
