Two LIV Golf stars – Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm – entered the 2026 Masters among the favorites to win the green jacket. Only one of them managed to make the cut.
Rahm bounced back from a 6-over par start to the tournament with a 2-under round on Friday. That allowed the 2023 Masters winner to make the 4-over cut on the number.

Meanwhile, it appeared DeChambeau was going to get a chance to play the weekend after he shot 1-under through the first 17 holes of his second round. The two-time U.S. Open champion was sitting at 3-over for the tournament before a disastrous triple-bogey on the 18th hole sent him home early for the third time in his last five Masters appearances.
While DeChambeau and Rahm were LIV Golf’s headliners at the 2026 Masters, Tyrrell Hatton is currently best positioned to challenge for the green jacket. The Englishman moved to 4-under for the tournament after a sparkling, 6-under performance that was good for the second-best round on Friday behind reigning Masters champion Rory McIlroy (7-under).

Still, Hatton is far behind McIlroy, who shot 12-under over the first two days of the tournament and will take a six-stroke lead into the weekend.

That said, LIV Golf lured several former Masters champions onto its circuit during its five years of existence. They are as follows:

Six of the group remain a part of the LIV Golf tour. The only exception is Reed, who left it ahead of the 2026 season and plans to return to the PGA Tour in 2027 as part of its new Returning Member Program.
Among the group, only Mickelson is not participating in the 2026 Masters. He announced he would be out for an extended period of time because of a personal health matter involving a family member.
