Punk was asked about the worst injuries he had suffered in the ring, which allowed him to go into detail.

“Well, let’s knock on wood here—let’s do one of those. I mean, probably the worst one was a fractured skull. That was… that was pretty interesting. My head hit another guy’s head, and we kind of sandwiched on the mat at the same time. Yeah, that wasn’t fun. And it got pretty serious. We look back at it now and we all laugh, but I could have died—and it’s just funny now because I didn’t. Man, it would have stunk if I did.” he claimed.

Punk didn’t explain when this injury occurred, but he went on to note that he had suffered a lot of scary injuries throughout his career.

You name it, I’ve probably done it. I’ve torn both triceps. Yeah. The last one, I got DDT’d, and when I hit the mat, the thing just, bang, popped.”

Luckily, CM Punk is at 100% heading into WrestleMania as he looks to close out the weekend with his World Heavyweight Championship defence against Roman Reigns.

CM Punk takes on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42 with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line

It’s been a long journey since The Royal Rumble, when Roman Reigns was able to secure his WrestleMania place, before going on to choose to face CM Punk.

The two men have traded words as well as having a number of physical altercations, but there is now just one episode of WWE RAW left until the two men finally step into the ring against each other.

There’s a long history between Punk and Reigns that dates all the way back to Reigns’ main roster debut, before he was then pushed into a position where he was working with Punk as a member of The Shield.

It seems that there has been a lot of water under the bridge since 2012, and now that Punk and Reigns have had their say, their match has become one of the most anticipated of this year’s WrestleMania.
