On INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the host asked Drew McIntyre about CM Punk and what he feels about The Second City Saint following their feud. McIntyre was brutally honest in his take and stated that he cannot stand Punk, but did praise several aspects of the World Heavyweight Champion’s current run. Regardless of the praise, the 40-year-old WWE star thinks The Straight Edge Superstar is nowhere near him.

“A piece of c**p. Can’t stand him. I watch him every week, and I see he is doing good things with the world title, good for you. That’s a good run right there. As a fighting champion, I think fighting champions are stupid, because I was one, and why would you defend it all the time? That’s just disrespectful to the title. The opponent should earn it. So I did it before, that’s why I can say that stuff. But at the same time, he’s nowhere close to what he did with me, and it pains me to admit I’m still chasing the dragon for what I did with him. So opposites attract,” McIntyre said. [H/T – CVV]

CM Punk stood tall against Roman Reigns on WWE RAW

WrestleMania 42 is less than three weeks away, and CM Punk gained momentum over Roman Reigns on the recent edition of WWE RAW. After last week’s attack, the World Heavyweight Champion wasted no time and settled the score with The Original Tribal Chief.

The Second City Saint hit a GTS and powerbombed the challenger on the announcer’s desk before closing the segment. Later, the 47-year-old WWE star celebrated and went off at a fan who tried to ruin his celebration at Madison Square Garden. It’ll be interesting to see which star leaves the event in Las Vegas as the World Heavyweight Champion.
