You know things are not going in the direction you proposed when one of the architects of “F Them Picks” is pushing back on the idea of trading away even more NFL draft picks in future years. Whether the Cleveland Browns proposed the idea because owner Jimmy Haslam really wants to get QB Arch Manning or because the team is open to trading DE Myles Garrett, no matter what GM Andrew Berry says, the idea is a bold one.

Right now, the NFL rules limit teams from trading picks more than three years out. The Browns proposal would, for example, allow the Philadelphia Eagles to send first-round picks in 2027, 2029, and 2031 to acquire Garrett.
