The once elusive green jacket beckons again.
After Rory McIlroy broke through and earned his first Masters title in 2025, he’s now looking to become the 19th golfer in history to win multiple green jackets. But that is easier said than done.

McIlroy in particular has some massive hills to climb. He has delt with discomfort in his lower back, forcing him to pull out of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. While he did play through the pain at the Players Championship, he certainly didn’t appear to be at his best. Still, despite the recent struggles, he has some of the best odds to win the tournament.
Thankfully, McIlroy still has a little bit of time before this year’s tournament begins. In fact, he has just over two and a half weeks before the first round at Augusta National. Here’s the full schedule for this year’s Masters Tournament.
When does the Masters begin?
The 90th edition of the Masters Tournament will begin on Thursday, April 9. Practice rounds will begin on Monday that week, April 6.
