4. He could kick off the show with a heartfelt promo

The Undisputed WWE Champion could make his return at the start of the show and kick things off with a heartfelt promo. He could express his disappointment and sorrow at being betrayed by one of his closest friends.

However, he could acknowledge that it was his doing at the end of the day. Rhodes could recall all he has learnt from Orton and promise that he will do everything in his power to retain the title and give fans the best match possible at WrestleMania 42.

3. Cody Rhodes could have a backstage segment with Nick Aldis

Instead of coming out to the ring first, Rhodes might have a backstage segment with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. The two could have a word about Rhodes’ health following the attack a couple of weeks ago.

They could then head into Aldis’ office to have a secret discussion, potentially involving a stipulation for the Undisputed WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 42. This could later be revealed once Rhodes makes his way to the ring later on in the show.

2. He could be interrupted by Randy Orton and have a war of words with him

Now that we have heard Randy Orton’s side of the story, it seems only logical that fans get to hear Cody Rhodes out this week. However, he might not be allowed to finish, as Orton might interrupt him in the middle of his promo and call him out for being WWE’s Golden Boy.

He could point out how Kevin Owens was right about Cody Rhodes, and then take a personal shot at the Undisputed Champion to deepen their rivalry even more.

1. Rhodes could run out to the ring to brawl with Orton

After being busted open and left incapacitated a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown, Cody Rhodes will surely want revenge on his former friend. Instead of cutting a typical babyface promo where he talks about his feelings, Rhodes could simply run out to the ring to confront Randy Orton.

He could signal that the time for words is long over, and get into another brawl with the 14-time world champion. Only this time, he might get the better of The Viper and send him packing. This would also intensify the feud between them and allow the reigning champion to get some momentum on his side leading up to WrestleMania 42 as well.
