“I don’t think it’s truly possible to put into words how much Booker T has meant to me and my entire career. Before I was WWE superstar Roxanne Perez, I was just a small girl from a small town that walked into Reality of Wrestling with dreams bigger than my 16-year-old self. And regardless of my age, Booker T never doubted me. And I’ll never forget the moment that he told me I have something very special and to just keep going,” Perez said.

The Prodigy further thanked Booker T for his constant support and guidance over the years.

“So Booker, thank you so much for your support. Thank you so much for everything you’ve taught me. Thank you for all the tough love along the way. I don’t think this would have been possible without your guidance. So thank you. Thank you, Booker,” Perez added.

WWE is honoring Booker T for his legendary in-ring career and his ongoing contributions as a mentor and color commentator on the upcoming edition of NXT. The show is slated to take place at the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas, which is the two-time WWE Hall of Famer’s hometown.

Roxanne Perez has been absent from WWE programming

Roxanne Perez’s last in-ring appearance was in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match. She entered the ring at number 11 but failed to make any significant difference, as she exited the bout with zero eliminations despite spending over twenty minutes inside the squared circle.

The 24-year-old has been away from WWE programming to recover from surgery she underwent to remove a benign mass in her back. It had been causing her significant pain for several months.

Amid her absence from Monday Night RAW, Finn Bálor, who brought her into The Judgment Day, was kicked out of the faction last week. It will be interesting to see who Perez sides with following her much-awaited return.
