Nick Aldis finally responded to Drew McIntyre’s allegations in a video posted on social media by WWE. The 39-year-old stated that Drew would have to defend the title against Cody Rhodes in a proper match and not by interfering in The American Nightmare’s matches. Aldis claimed that all the previous contracts and any legal action were out of the window.

“And yes, Drew [McIntyre], I said it. You will defend the championship, and not by interfering in other people’s matches and controlling other people’s destiny. You will defend it tonight in the ring the way it should be done. So all other previous arrangements, contracts, anything to do with lawyers, it’s out of the window,” Aldis said.

Nick Aldis turned the accusations back on Drew McIntyre, stating that the Undisputed WWE Champion getting involved in Cody Rhodes’ matches forced him to announce the title match.

“I made that decision because you left me no choice. I told you before. Keep pushing me and I’ll show you what I can do, and here we are tonight. It’s put up or shut up. Defend the WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes, and we will determine who deserves to go to WrestleMania as WWE Champion,” Aldis added.

Nick Aldis announced a massive tag team match for WWE SmackDown

In the same video mentioned in the first half of the article, Nick Aldis provided a rundown for the upcoming edition of Friday Night SmackDown. He revealed that Randy Orton would kick off the show and the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre would be the main event.

Nick Aldis also announced another massive match for SmackDown. The General Manager disclosed that a Gauntlet Match was scheduled for the show that would determine the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship. However, he did not mention when the winners would challenge The MFTs for the title.

It will be interesting to see which team comes out on top after everything is said and done.
