Ford Racing Parts has a new supercharger kit available for the 5.0-liter V8 engine in the F-150 and Mustang. Ford developed the kit in partnership with Whipple Superchargers and comes with a factory-backed warranty.
The 3.0-liter supercharger increases the F-150’s output to 700 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. The Mustang makes up to 810 hp and 815 lb-ft of torque when equipped with the active exhaust system. Output decreases to 800 hp with the standard exhaust, which matches the GTD.
Ford Mustang Dark Horse
The kit for the Mustang costs $10,500, which is available on 2024-2026 models, while the kit for the F-150 costs $10,0250. It can fit 2021-2026 model-year pickups in 4×2 or 4×4 configurations with the single alternator.
The kit adds about 300 hp, which is a pretty serious number for the Mustang. The Mustang GT makes 480 horsepower from the Coyote V8, which jumps to about 780 with the supercharger. The Dark Horse makes 500 hp out of the box, which improves to around 800 hp with the add on. The stock F-150’s 400 hp improves to as much as 700 hp.
The Mustang kit includes a dual-pass intercooler, a 92-mm throttle body, upgraded spark plugs, and GT500 port fuel injectors. The F-150 just gets the intercooler upgrade. Max vehicle speed remains unchanged. Neither kit is available for 2026 vehicles in California, but both come with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty.
Motor1’s Take: It’s nice to see Ford offering a factory-backed supercharger upgraded for the F-150 and Mustang. The kit isn’t cheap, but it delivers a tremendous boost in power for the price, and that’s always a win for enthusiasts.
