Tama Tonga took to X to post a photo of him posing alongside Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Finn Balor, all of whom were part of the Bullet Club. The post also features Shinsuke Nakamura, and even though he was never in the faction, his connection to NJPW is obvious.

While the post seems like a simple reunion, it could hint at something bigger. Tama captioned the post in Japanese as “Tomodachi,” which means “friend.” This is interesting because in recent weeks on SmackDown, there have been a few segments between Nakamura and the MFT member, with the King of Strong Style telling him to remember his past.

This could be Nakamura referring to his time in the OG Bullet Club, and Tama’s post calling him, Balor, and the Good Brothers friends could hint at him moving away from MFT to embrace his New Japan roots.

Tama Tonga is enjoying a good run on SmackDown

Tama Tonga currently holds the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown alongside Solo Sikoa. The duo beat The Wyatt Sicks to win the gold last month.

He has also been picking up pace in recent weeks on the blue brand. Two weeks ago, he helped MFTs pick up a win in a 10-man tag team match, getting the pinfall on U.S. champion Carmelo Hayes.

Last week on SmackDown, Tama beat former U.S. champion Ilja Dragunov in a singles bout after Tonga Loa distracted The Mad Dragon.
