Now, one star has made it clear that he is coming after Dom’s IC title. In an interview with Denise Salcedo at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest, Penta was asked what his hopes and plans are for WrestleMania 42.

He said right now there aren’t any major plans, but if he had to pick a goal, it would be taking the Intercontinental championship from Dominik Mysterio.

Not yet, but if I can I choose, you know what is the next goal for Penta? It is the stupid Dominik Mysterio. I don’t know exactly how, I don’t know exactly when. But one thing is sure, Penta will be Intercontinental champion,” he said.

This declaration comes after the masked lucha libre star defeated El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) last week on RAW to become the number one contender for the Intercontinental title.

Penta did feud with Dominik last year and faced him for the championship at Backlash. Dom was able to retain the title after interference by El Grande Americano.

Dominik Mysterio set for high stakes AAA Mega Championship match

Apart from his successful run in WWE, Dominik Mysterio has shone in AAA. He holds the Mega Championship, the company’s top Title and is set for a high-stakes match.

During the latest episode of AAA TV, Dirty Dom and Vikingo signed a contract for a Championship match at Rey de Reyes on March 14.

However, Dom came up with a stipulation that if Vikingo loses, then he will never be able to challenge again for the Title as long as El Sucio holds the gold. Vikingo then laid out a condition of his own, stating that if Dominik loses, then he must leave AAA forever.
