During the build-up to their bout, Maxwell Jacob Friedman fired some shots at Zilla’s Bloodline family. The 26-year-old rising star responded by taking the matter into his own hands and posted a two-minute-long promo.

He took personal shots aimed at the AEW World Champion, paying homage to various Bloodline members. To end his rant, Fatu made it clear that he will make Friedman acknowledge “the family” once they face off in the ring this weekend.

The HOG Crown Jewel Champion, interestingly, paid tribute to The Rock by cutting a Final Boss-style promo, mentioning his signature “millions and millions” catchphrase, which only a few eagle-eyed fans caught.

“MJF, good old Pete Lightning. The main ones twitter, the main ones Instagram, the millions and millions of comments,” he said.

When did The Rock last appear in WWE?

The Rock hasn’t been seen in World Wrestling Entertainment for a long time. The last time fans saw the Hollywood actor at the Stamford-based promotion was at Elimination Chamber 2025, where John Cena sold his soul to him after Cody Rhodes rejected the offer.

While fans expected The Final Boss to appear at WrestleMania 41, the Brahma Bull stayed away and to this date hasn’t been seen in the sports entertainment juggernaut.

That being said, it will be interesting to see whether the 26-year-old real-life Bloodline member manages to shock the world by defeating MJF and becoming the new AEW World Champion, pulling off one of the biggest upsets.
