Sevilla FC has raised its voice after learning of the severe punishment imposed on its coach, Matías Almeyda. The Competition Committee has sanctioned the Argentine manager with a seven-match suspension following his expulsion in the last match against Deportivo Alavés, a decision that the Nervión club considers disproportionate.

Through an official statement, the Sevilla entity has shown its unconditional support for the coach. Although the club acknowledges and shares the remorse expressed by Almeyda himself after the incident, it emphasizes that the severity of the sanction does not reflect the reality of what happened on the pitch.
