Former British and European super-featherweight champion Ryan Garner will return to action on 14 March with his next fight set to take place in Dublin.

The undefeated 28-year-old will be on the undercard of Jazza Dickens v Anthony Cacace who fight for the WBA super-featherweight title.

No opponent has yet been confirmed for Garner, but this fight is expected to come before a big homecoming for “the Piranha”, who is hoping to headline at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium this summer.

Garner last fought in July when he beat Reece Bellotti in Bournemouth to claim the British and Commonwealth titles – he has since vacated the former.

The Dickens v Cacace bill will take place at Dublin’s 3 Arena and Queensberry Promotions say all 13,000 seats are already sold out.

Also on the card will be fellow Hampshire boxer Mark Chamberlain who fights Dublin’s undefeated Pierce O’Leary in a tasty super-lightweight match-up.

Chamberlain will be in the ring for the first time since his fight-of-the-year contender against Jack Rafferty which ended in a draw last August.
