The former champion made her debut in NXT UK, using the name “Aoife Valkyrie” and was able to defeat Amale. She went on to tour with NXT UK and remained undefeated on the brand for more than a year before her first defeat in April 2021. After NXT UK closed its doors in 2022, she was moved over to the NXT brand and debuted the name Lyra Valkyria.

Just a few months later, Valkyria was able to defeat Becky Lynch to win the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc. After dropping the title to Roxanne Perez, she was promoted to the main roster in early 2024 as part of the WWE Draft.

Lyra Valkyria has become a popular star since her move to WWE RAW

Lyra Valkyria has become a major star on RAW over the past year, from bringing Becky Lynch back to be her partner at WrestleMania last year to feuding with The Man throughout 2025.

The two women were able to bring out the best in each other before Valkyria returned to her alliance with Bayley, and the duo is now pushing for Adam Pearce to take them seriously as a duo and push them towards the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

It will be interesting to see if the duo can co-exist long enough to be able to capture the titles once again and take them into WrestleMania this year, which takes place in around nine weeks’ time.
