Barcelona appear to have made a decision regarding the future of Marcus Rashford.
After the Englishman’s stunning start to life in La Liga, the club is now leaning strongly towards keeping the forward beyond his current loan spell.

According to an update from SPORT, Barcelona have decided to pay the full €30 million price included in Rashford’s deal, as it is considered a fair and acceptable price by the board.
In fact, the club is said to be fully satisfied with the winger’s impact, both in terms of performance on the pitch and his integration into the squad.
Barcelona’s position
There is reportedly a unanimous feeling about the situation, and the plan is to activate the €30 million clause and complete the transfer permanently.
Unlike before, there is no intention to negotiate a lower fee, as Manchester United are not willing to reduce their demands.

Even so, Barcelona believe the price reflects the player’s quality, especially when compared to the high valuations of similar attackers on the market.

Unless there is an unexpected issue in the remaining months of the loan, such as physical problems, the deal is expected to be finalised towards the end of the season.
Rashford would then sign a contract for three more seasons with the Catalan club, securing his long-term future at Spotify Camp Nou.
Impressive numbers
Rashford’s numbers this season have played a major role in the decision.

In 33 matches across all competitions, he has scored 10 goals and provided 13 assists.
Furthermore, Barcelona view the €30 million fee as reasonable, especially compared to the huge sums often required for top attacking players.
In addition, Rashford has agreed to lower his salary compared to what he was earning at Manchester United, making the move easier to fit within the club’s wage structure.
Right now, all signs point to a permanent transfer. If everything goes according to plan, Rashford will become a full Barcelona player at the end of the season.
