Signed from Manchester City on a season-long loan, Manuel Akanji has gone from strength to strength this season.

Indeed, the 30-year-old has nailed down a starting berth as his own, becoming Inter’s defensive cornerstone.

Therefore, it’s unsurprising that Beppe Marotta is ready to activate the €15 million purchase option.

In addition to Akanji, Inter seem to have already decided to re-sign Club Brugge midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic.

Despite selling the 20-year-old last summer, the Serie A giants are looking to bring him back to Serie A.

Club Brugge paid just €10 million to sign the Serbian starlet and are set to turn a substantial profit within just 12 months.

Indeed, Inter will have to fork out €23 million to trigger the buyback clause.
