The quarterback spoke to the media after Brady was introduced as the new head coach.
“A little broken bone in there,” Allen said. “So they went in, took it out and cleaned it up. Obviously not ideal situation, painful throughout the weeks, but again, game day, different story just being able to put that to the side and just go out there and play football.”
He also confirmed that the injury occurred in the Bills’ Week 16 win over the Cleveland Browns, adding that it was an older injury that was reaggravated.
Despite the walking boot and crutches, Allen said that he will be ready for organized team activities (OTAs), but did say he would be playing if the Bills had a game this week.
