The PGA Tour released the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open field on Friday but there have been quite a few notable changes since.
On Saturday, Brian Campbell withdrew, which allowed first alternate Matt Kuchar to snag a tee time. Then on Sunday, Jimmy Stanger WD’d, and that opened a spot for Justin Lower. Later on Sunday, Nico Echavarria was announced as a WD, and that brought Taylor Moore into the field.

Monday brought some more WDs and subsequent replacements: Patton Kizzire out, Joel Dahman in; Michael Kim out, Sam Ryder in.
There were two more alternates added Monday and that’s essentially thanks to Brooks Koepka. The now former LIV golfer was reinstated by the PGA Tour two weeks ago and will make his return after a four-year absence this week, but, as the Tour has made clear, field sizes are being adjusted so that Koepka doesn’t take a spot from anyone else. From the PGA Tour:
“With Brooks Koepka competing in the Farmers Insurance Open, the field is currently 145 players. To round out threesomes, the field will be officially expanded to 147 as of Monday at noon PT, with the first two alternates at that time being added to the field.”
The next two names on the alternate list are Jackson Suber and Lanto Griffin.

In addition to the two alternate late-adds on Monday, there were four golfers who made the field via Monday qualifying: Thomas Rosenmueller and Henrik Norlander tied for the top spot at 7 under, while Hunter Logan and Jeremy Paul nabbed the other two spots after tying at 5 under. The qualifier was held at Mission Viejo Country Club in Mission Viejo, California.

Notables in this qualifier who came up short: Harry Higgs (4 under), Jason Dufner (2 under), Michael Block (1 under) and Scott Piercy (1 under).
Taking a half step back, on Sunday, the Tour reported that Marcus Byrd got the final unrestricted sponsor exemption. He joins Justin Hastings, Brandt Snedeker and Camilo Villegas (already announced) as sponsor exemptions.
Someone who just missed out on making the field is Blades Brown, the 18-year-old phenom who played his eighth competitive round in eight days on Sunday at the American Express, where he not only made the 54-hole cut in La Quinta, California, but he played in the final threesome with Si Woo Kim and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.
Needing a top-10 finish to earn a Farmers spot, though, Brown double bogeyed the par-5 fifth hole and bogeyed the par-4 15th before closing with one final bogey. He signed for a final-round 2-over 74 to finish at 19 under and tie for 18th.
