After the broadcast ended, Sami Zayn addressed the Bell Centre crowd in Montreal. He poured his heart out to thank the city for their continued support for WWE and his journey to being a world champion, as per Stephane Latendresse of PW Insider.

“I’m proud to be your guy. What I need more than anything in the world to become a champion is momentum. Momentum. And I keep telling myself that I wouldn’t have the momentum I have right now if it wasn’t for you—if it wasn’t for this city and everyone screaming at the top of their lungs. So thank you for that. Thank you so much, Montreal. I love you,” Zayn said.

Drew McIntyre has all the advantage in the world at the Royal Rumble against Sami Zayn. McIntyre has an 11-0 record against Zayn, who will look to earn the biggest win of his career in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In addition to asking for more support in his journey to winning the Undisputed WWE Championship, Sami Zayn also praised the city of Montreal for their wrestling fandom. Zayn called his hometown the “greatest wrestling city” in the world.

“I think this is incredible, because this is the greatest wrestling city in the world. I don’t even know what to say to fully express how I feel. I truly, truly don’t have the words.
