4. Getting The New Day a tag team title match

AJ Styles and Dragon Lee have barely been on television since winning the World Tag Team Championship. The unlikely duo dethroned The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh in only their second title defense.

RAW General Manager Adam Pearce surprisingly granted The New Day a shot at the title during a backstage segment, with the match set for next week. Whether or not a title change takes place remains to be seen, but it is a good sign that the tag team division is getting some spotlight, with so much talent to choose from.

3. Giving the heels the advantage in the WarGames match

The Usos faced Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul in the main event of WWE RAW in the men’s WarGames advantage match. After interference from The Vision and CM Punk, and Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul took advantage of the situation and rolled Jimmy Uso up from behind to get the win.

As a result, Paul Heyman’s team will be able to have the numbers advantage inside the cage till it becomes five-on-five. The heel side is absolutely stacked and needs to win inside the cage this time around.

2. Having Gunther defeat Carmelo Hayes on WWE RAW

To no one’s surprise, The Ring General defeated Carmelo Hayes in the quarter-final of the Last Time is Now Tournament. While Hayes was not squashed completely, he only had a couple of bright moments in the match, and Gunther looked as dominant as ever.

The former World Heavyweight Champion will now face Solo Sikoa in the semifinal. The leader of the MFTs was awarded the win after Penta seemingly dislocated his shoulder during their match. While it makes for a strange matchup, it will surely be worth watching, with Gunther remaining the favorite to advance to the finals.

1. Teasing a world title match for Roman Reigns

There was not much to the opening segment on WWE RAW, despite the appearance from Roman Reigns. However, just when it seemed to be all about Reigns not trusting either world champion, he claimed that the title would look better on him.

Both Punk and Rhodes were confused about who the OTC was referring to. Reigns asked them to figure it out, leaving the door open for him to be inserted into a title feud with either CM Punk or Cody Rhodes. He has history with both men, and it would make sense for him to go after either of the two titles.

The subtle tease was a good decision on the creative team’s part about how things could look after Survivor Series.
