Despite being called the Legend Killer of WWE, Randy Orton is not being properly booked by the Triple H creative regime. Orton is considered one of the veteran stars in the history of professional wrestling and enjoys great popularity among the audience.

Still, his recent booking in WWE has been declining, which is indeed a matter of concern for Orton and his fans. In this article, we will examine three clear signs that the Stamford-based promotion is disrespecting the Apex Predator.

#3. Not featured on the WrestleMania 42 poster

WWE has recently revealed the first promotional poster of WrestleMania 42, along with a teaser featuring Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Triple H, Paul Heyman, CM Punk, and Brock Lesnar. Though the teaser has all the gigantic names on it, the absence of Viper was a slight surprise.

WrestleMania is all about legacy and is one of the biggest shows each year. When you have someone like Randy Orton on the roster who is actively part of the business, his absence doesn’t seem justified and implies that the company is disrespecting him.

#2. Barely used on television

Over the past few months, Randy Orton has been barely used on WWE television. Even the Viper is currently notably absent from SmackDown TV. Furthermore, the reason for his absence from the blue brand has not yet been explained.

Not only this, but recently, Orton was also not seen in major events, including WWE’s premier show on ESPN. Once a fan pointed it out, the Viper’s wife, Kim Orton, responded, agreeing that World Wrestling Entertainment is seemingly disrespecting the veteran star.

#1. Booked to lose major WWE feuds

Randy Orton missing from the #WrestleMania poster is straight-up disrespectful. 14x World Champ bigger star than 80% of that lineup, and WWE’s been wasting him since the comeback. #RKO #WWE @RandyOrton

In all the recent feuds, Randy Orton has only suffered losses. Just a few weeks back, he was engaged in a rivalry with Drew McIntyre, where the Apex Predator failed to overpower him.

Before this, he was seen in a major rivalry with John Cena, too, but the Legend Killer failed to beat the 17x World Champion. The story doesn’t end here, as Orton also failed to become the King of the Ring 2025 despite being in the finals against Cody Rhodes.

These failures of the Legend Killer are surely a concern, especially given that he is also absent from the posters for Premium Live Events and not part of any prominent television storyline. As of now, fans are rooting for his presence at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where he may be part of the Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre Undisputed Title match.
