Barcelona legend Jordi Alba has announced his retirement as a football player at the end of this season, when his contract with Inter Miami of the MLS will come to an end.

A product of Valencia, the left-back announced on his Instagram account that he will leave football at the end of 2025, after two seasons in the MLS.

A former Barcelona player, where he played 459 matches, Alba is one of the most successful left-backs in Spanish football, with achievements that include the Champions League and the Club World Cup.

At 36 years old, Alba will follow his club teammate Sergio Busquets, another Spanish legend, who has also announced his retirement and will leave Leo Messi at Inter Miami.
