In what sounds like the beginning of a children's book, Giants QB Jaxson Dart was playing smart in his second start.
Facing the Saints in New Orleans, the rookie quarterback led New York to an opening drive touchdown for the second straight week, finding TE Theo Johnson wide open in the back of the endzone for a one-yard touchdown pass.
Dart went 5-for-5 passing for 44 yards and the TD on the eight-play, 59-yard drive to put the Giants up 7-0 with 9:34 left in the first quarter of the Week 5 matchup.
He also scrambled for six yards on 1st & 10 from the New Orleans 40-yard line to keep the drive moving in opposing territory. The rookie learned from a preseason mistake where he fumbled and broke out a slide to avoid contact.
Toward the end of the first quarter, Dart scrambled again on his second drive, running for 20 yards up the middle before another slide.
New York looks to keep the momentum going and earn their second win of the season.
