The Patriot Golf Club is hosting the Compliance Solutions Championship, the penultimate event on the Korn Ferry Tour’s 2025 schedule.

How is the course holding up? After two rounds in Owasso, Oklahoma, the guys are, shall we say, torching the place.

First off, there was the 59 posted by Davis Chatfield in Thursday’s first round. It’s the 16th sub-60 round, and third this season, on the circuit. His round was greatly aided by the albatross he had on the par-5 15th after holing out from 268 yards.

He was obviously the first-round leader but before he could even start his second round on Friday, he was eigth shots back of Adrien Dumont de Chassart, who finished his 36 holes at 20 under thanks to back-to-back 61s. His 61-61 start is the lowest 36-hole score in Korn Ferry Tour history.

You read that right: 20 under through 36 holes. Are we looking at someone going 40 under over four days?

Still, there’s plenty of golf left.

“People are going to shoot low scores tomorrow, Sunday. The Korn Ferry’s that way,” Dumont de Chassart said. “Even though I’m at 20 under, just a lot of work to do this weekend.”

Those guys weren’t alone with the low scores. Blades Brown, 18, shot a second-round 60, a round that featured 10 birdies and an eagle. He birdied four of his last five holes and had he avoided a bogey on the fourth hole (his 13th of the day) there would’ve been back-to-back 59s in this event.

But wait, there’s more. Travis Trace and Zecheng Dou shot 61 on Thursday. Billy Tom Sargent shot 61 on Friday. There were eight 62s over the first two days scored by Cooper Dossey, Pontus Nyholm, Nick Gabrelcik, Marco Rozolo, Will Cannon, James Nicholas, Peter Kuest and Bronson Burgoon. There were nine 63s signed for as well.

To recap, there’s been a 59, a 60, five 61s, eight 62s and nine 63s this week.

There have only been 13 rounds over par out of the 222 that have been played so far.

And how about this? After two players withdrew, there were 110 in the field and 109 of them are under par after two days with the other sitting at even par.

The cut came in at 7 under at the Patriot, a Robert Trent Jones, Jr., course that is playing 7,120 yards at par 71 this week.
