No. 8 Florida State is tied 21-21 with Virginia at halftime of a lively Friday night ACC clash. The Cavaliers jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the second quarter, capped by an 11-yard touchdown run from quarterback Chandler Morris, before the Seminoles answered with 21 straight points.
Morris, a transfer making his fourth college stop after stints at Oklahoma, TCU and North Texas, went 19 of 25 for 148 yards in the first half. Virginia totaled 229 yards of offense and forced two turnovers.
The Cavaliers are chasing their first win over a top-10 opponent since knocking off North Carolina in 2023. They went 1-3 against ranked teams last season, the lone victory coming against No. 18 Pittsburgh.
Florida State (6/1) entered the night with the ACC’s third-best title odds behind Miami and Georgia Tech, per FanDuel.
