Reigning WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton represented the company in a huge appearance on Thursday in New York. It ended in disaster, with Stratton breaking her silence on what happened.
Ahead of tonight’s SmackDown, The Buff Barbie took over Queens as the champ was the special guest of the New York Mets. She threw the first pitch for the Mets’ game against the Washington Nationals.
Despite being an elite athlete, throwing a baseball is not something Tiffany Stratton is good at. She flunked the first pitch, throwing it with too much force as the ball sailed over the receiver, failing to catch it as the fans couldn’t believe what they saw.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Stratton didn’t think too much of what happened and even made fun of herself. She compared herself to rapper 50 Cent, who had a similar disastrous first pitch in 2014.
“Giving 50 Cent a run for his money,” Stratton tweeted.
For those unaware, many baseball fans consider 50 Cent’s first pitch as the worst in MLB history. Tiffany Stratton might have put herself in unwanted territory, but it’s all fun and laughs. She’s not the first elite athlete to fail at throwing a baseball properly.
Olympic track and field legend Carl Lewis, former NBA player John Wall, NFL star tight end Travis Kelce, and even the legendary Michael Jordan, who played two years of Minor League Baseball, had disastrous first pitches.
Chelsea Green wants WWE Women’s Title match against Tiffany Stratton at Evolution 2
Tiffany Stratton’s next challenger hasn’t been announced yet, but she has to watch her back now that Naomi has the Money in the Bank briefcase. Another star who would like a shot at Stratton is Chelsea Green, who wants a match at Evolution 2 next month.
