ST. LOUIS — Is it time to start to get a little worrisome about the St. Louis Blues following their 4-1 home-opening loss against the Minnesota Wild at Enterprise Center on Tuesday?

Probably not, but there need to be some alarm bells sounding off for the Blues, who have lost two in a row after winning their first two games of the season (2-2-0).

First of all, they’ve now trailed by multiple goals in each of the first four games of the season. That’s troubling. They showed great resolve in each of the three road games to open the season, but let’s face it, that’s not a sustainable way to win.

And such was the case on Tuesday when the Blues fell behind again by three goals despite at one point holding a 56-27 shots attempt advantage in this game.

Sure, there was some bad luck that went against them, but teams create their own luck, and the Blues generated plenty, but were notable to find the finishing touch around Filip Gustavsson, who became the 15th goalie in NHL history (18th goal scored) to find the back of the net at 19:51 of the third period, a power-play, empty-net goal.
