A former WWE champion has hinted that he was bringing back his iconic character. He could bring back this character before WrestleMania 42.
Johnny Gargano first gained a lot of traction due to his time in NXT. He was part of the black and silver brand for several years. During this time, he won the North American Championship and the NXT Title. In fact, he is the only three-time North American Champion. He impressed the WWE higher-ups and was eventually moved up to the main roster, where he reunited with Tommaso Ciampa. However, Gargano hit a slump after Ciampa left WWE for AEW. Therefore, he has been feeling a little low over the past few weeks. Therefore, Candice LeRae entered Gargano in the North American Championship number one contender gauntlet. To everyone’s surprise, Gargano was able to win the gauntlet thanks to some help from his wife. Now, he will face Myles Borne for the North American Title at NXT Stand & Deliver.
