Given the 48-year-old’s love for in-ring competition, he could be compelled to accept and lace up his boots one more time. Here are five stars AJ Styles could face on next week’s RAW:

#5. Gunther

If AJ Styles is in attendance, Gunther isn’t going to miss the opportunity to mock him. The Ring General could take it a step too far and push Styles to fight back.

The confrontation could escalate, and The Phenomenal One could find himself in another singles match against the man who ended his career.

#4. Penta

On last week’s RAW, Penta became the number one contender to Dominik Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship. The title match has yet to be announced, but if it takes place next week, we could see not one, but two defenses.

If Penta becomes the new IC Champion, he could immediately put the title on the line against AJ Styles out of respect. The Phenomenal One could accept, and we may have a massive clash over the prestigious title.

#3. Drew McIntyre

For AJ Styles’ tribute show, talent from SmackDown will reportedly be present as well. It is well-documented that the Undisputed WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre, loves to ruffle feathers every chance he gets.

The Scotsman could confront Styles and mock him for being forced to retire. McIntyre could claim that if the veteran weren’t retired, he would have defended the title against him, claiming that it would have been an easy challenge. This could prompt Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis to make a joint decision and book an impromptu title match between Styles and McIntyre.

#2. Dragon Lee could challenge AJ Styles

Dragon Lee and AJ Styles had a successful run as a tag team last year. Their team disbanded when The Phenomenal One chose to pick a fight with Gunther, which ultimately led to his retirement.

The luchador could challenge Styles out of respect on next week’s RAW. The veteran may be compelled to step back in the ring one more time against his former tag team partner.

#1. Je’Von Evans

Je’Von Evans has had a meteoric rise since joining the main roster. After an impressive performance in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, The Young OG secured a spot in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match on last week’s RAW.

The 21-year-old could challenge AJ Styles on next week’s RAW. At Saturday Night’s Main Event in December, Evans teamed up with Leon Slater to take on Styles and Dragon Lee, but couldn’t win.

The young star could lay down a challenge, saying he needed to test his mettle against one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time in a singles match. Seeing the fire in Evans, Styles could accept his challenge.
