WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event may only have four matches currently booked, but each contest features a championship. Both the Undisputed and World Heavyweight titles are on the line.
The longest-reigning titleholder in the company, Tiffany Stratton, also sees her reign in jeopardy after a beatdown on last week’s SmackDown. There will be outside interference in the Intercontinental title triple threat, which suits Dirty Dom.
With so much on the line setting things up for the beginning of 2026, WWE should not do the next five things at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
#5. Nothing substantial with the Usos
Jey and Jimmy Uso may have patched things up on RAW, but it feels like a band-aid holding back the floodgates of a bigger issue. Jimmy seems to stick up for family members, no matter the cost.
Most of the time, like against Drew McIntyre on SmackDown to avenge Jacob Fatu, he gets his tail kicked. Jey won singles gold, so he has a more single-minded focus. He uses that excuse for his actions with Jimmy.
The Yeet Master didn’t outright apologize for eliminating his brother, instead saying Jimmy would have done the same thing. Jimmy agreed, but only if it came down to them at the end.
Jey also claimed he didn’t have room in his mind for issues with Jimmy, which feels like a brush-off. Saturday Night’s Main Event should feature some sort of tension between the two, even if it seems cordial.
#4. Ignore the Vision
Due to how they handled things with Seth Rollins, Adam Pearce took Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed out of the battle royal to determine CM Punk’s opponent at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
It was likely to prolong Breakker winning the belt after kicking Rollins out of the Vision. The imposing stars don’t have to interfere or affect the outcome of the World Heavyweight Champion match.
However, they should at least be featured in a backstage segment. The trio could even stare the new champ down from the entranceway. Debuting a new member will probably happen on the following RAW.
#3. Jade Cargill squashes Tiffany Stratton
Jade Cargill turned heel last week, leaving WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton less than 100%. That attack will likely be used to explain a potential loss for The Center of the Universe.
WWE officials could make a bold choice by having The Storm squash Stratton, but they should resist the temptation.
They’ve done a lot of creative booking to keep Stratton nearly undefeated as champion. It shouldn’t be undone like how Brock Lesnar squashed Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship.
#2. Cody Rhodes uses underhanded tactics to win again
Cody Rhodes is the top guy in WWE, but he doesn’t always act like it. He ignores when heels explain their actions, like not acknowledging Kevin Owens’ side of things when they feuded for the title.
Rhodes did the same when talking with McIntyre last week, telling him to shut up instead of addressing McIntyre’s claims. If he listened, the heels wouldn’t seem justified in some of their actions.
The American Nightmare also cheated in two key matches to keep his title. The first was dropping Owens onto a title belt to win. Owens introduced the belt, but he’s supposed to cheat as the heel.
Rhodes also blasted McIntyre with the belt two weeks ago to get disqualified. If he does so again, it will only give more credence to The Scottish Warrior’s claims.
#1. Jey Uso wins gold at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
Some fans love Jey Uso, while others don’t prefer him. Regardless of that, Jey winning the title again at Saturday’s Night Main Event would be a big mistake.
For whatever reason, his run after beating Gunther was extremely disappointing, either due to booking issues or Jeys’ ability to carry a brand.
CM Punk had the World Heavyweight title for five minutes, but he is among the best talkers in the business. The champ needs to cut great promos weekly and even tell different stories that may have the same message.
Jey is extremely popular with the crowd, but always says the same thing on the mic. He’s also feuded with most of the top stars on RAW, whereas there are still plenty of feuds with Punk as champion.
