Wrestling fans have high expectations for the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown following the start of the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments. Fresh off the heels of Money in the Bank, the stakes could not be higher. With the Night of Champions PLE fast approaching, fans are excited to see where the storylines are heading and what the booking might look like. As of now, WWE has announced that John Cena will be on SmackDown to talk about his upcoming match with CM Punk at Night of Champions.

The company has also advertised the Women’s Money in the Bank holder, Naomi, for the show. With that said, here are the five booking decisions that could take place on SmackDown that will leave the fans shocked.

#5. Hikuleo makes his WWE debut

At Money in the Bank, Solo Sikoa’s faction imploded as Jacob Fatu turned on him. It was no ordinary turn, as Fatu cost Sikoa a chance to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Now, the group has been reduced to just two members, with only JC Mateo on the Street Champion’s corner. However, this could change as reports have indicated that Hikuleo could debut on the show.

Solo Sikoa will be out for revenge, and while Mateo could pose a threat to Fatu, Sikoa isn’t. The Samoan Werewolf may be able to take on his two former teammates, but three of them will be an issue. Fans should brace themselves to see the possible debut of the newest member of the group, who could change the game for them.

#4. Jacob Fatu loses the US Title to Solo Sikoa in an impromptu match

Speaking about the United States Champion, Jacob Fatu might face some repercussions for his actions on the show. As mentioned, the group won’t stay still following the massive loss at Money in the Bank. It could lead to Sikoa challenging Fatu to a title match on the show. The Samoan Werewolf is known to never back down from a fight and might accept the challenge.

The match could lead to Hikuleo’s debut, as stated above, and the new superstar might attempt to cost Fatu the championship. Fans should expect to see The Street Champion standing tall with the US title belt alongside JC Mateo and Hikuleo. A title on Sikoa’s faction will help raise their credibility as a real threat to the locker room.

#3. Naomi cashes in on Tiffany Stratton

Speaking of impromptu matches, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton could find herself in one. Naomi, who holds the Money in the Bank briefcase, might make her presence felt on SmackDown and attempt to cash in.

Stratton has proven herself to be a fighting champion, having defeated the likes of Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Naomi trying to outsmart Stratton with a sneaky cash-in. Tiffy’s time could be up on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.

#2. Naomi fails her cash-in because of Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill is scheduled to face Michin, Piper Niven, and Nia Jax in a Fatal Four-Way Match in the first round of the Queen of the Ring Tournament. However, it’s unclear if the match will take place on this week’s SmackDown. Either way, Cargill might keep an eye out for Naomi should the latter attempt to cash in her contract.

The Storm could get some retribution against Naomi for attacking her last year and foil The Glow’s plan to pull off a successful cash-in. The feud between the two superstars is far from over, and fans are excited to see if it leads to an epic bout at SummerSlam 2025.

#1. CM Punk makes an appearance

As of now, only the Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena has been advertised for SmackDown. Despite having a face-off on RAW and challenging him to a title match at Night of Champions, CM Punk has not been advertised. However, The Second City Saint might make a surprise appearance to confront his long-time rival.

The former AEW World Champion has never performed in Saudi Arabia and has called out WWE in the past for its partnership with the country. Fans are already wondering if Punk will even appear at Night of Champions or lose his chance at the title by standing by his principles.
