Right now, 946 is a force of three (Keys and OTM) taking on a Bloodline of four (Roman, Jacob, and The Usos). Adding a fourth member would make the numbers even, and The Rock would instantly raise their stock in the eyes of Roman and the Bloodline. Imagine Roman thinking he’s finally trapped Keys, only for The Rock to appear on the screen and reveal that it was all his plan. Even when he’s not there, he can help shift the group’s perception among the wider WWE Universe.

It can explain how often 946 find themselves in the right place at the right time to take out The Bloodline. Keys can take on the role of The Rock’s enforcer, while Nima and Price can threaten Roman’s allies and hold their fort in tag team matches.

At the moment, 946 feels threatening. Now, WWE needs to convince the fans that they deserve to be in the same sentence as Roman and The Bloodline. If The Rock is omnipresent, there’s no sense of mystery or intrigue left. But if 946 continues to do his work while the mastermind watches, the WWE Universe will always be waiting for his next return.

#1 It finally gives The Rock and Roman Reigns a reason to fight

WWE has long teased a clash between the two superstars, but it’s been a struggle to make their feud feel credible. Rock taking control of 946 would give their encounters a fresh reason to happen. He can accuse Roman of spending years pretending to be the family’s leader while treating everyone around him as his subordinates.

As the Final Boss, Rock can instead seek to create an army that Roman cannot control. With that logic, suddenly, every attack on the Usos and Fatu would feel more personal. Roman won’t be chasing a dream match; he’ll want to stop the man who knows his power and can destroy him and his Bloodline.
