Stepping away from kayfabe, there are a few WWE stars that Roman Reigns is very close with in real-life. Let’s look at five such current WWE stars in this article.

5. R-Truth

Roman Reigns has acknowledged on multiple occasions that he is very close with R-Truth. The Tribal Chief said in 2019 that he was practically family with the former United States Champion.

The two have rarely interacted on screen over the past few years, but things are likely different behind the scenes. Reigns also praised Truth for being a “real-life babyface” and called him the greatest of all-time for his versatility and commitment to character.

4 and 3. (Jimmy and Jey) The Usos

The Usos and Roman Reigns are cousins, and were part of The Bloodline together. Jimmy and Jey Uso made their WWE debut a few years before Reigns, and it took a while before they were able to team up together. Initially, they were on opposing sides, feuding for the tag team titles while Reigns was in The Shield.

Things changed after The Shield broke up, and took a dramatic turn once Reigns adopted the Tribal Chief gimmick. Now, their close bond behind the scenes is acknowledged on television as well.

The three grew up together in Florida, attended the same high school and even worked jobs together. Naturally, as part of the same family, they share a very close bond.

2. Paul Heyman

One of the turning points in Roman Reigns’ career was his partnership with Paul Heyman. The Wiseman has managed generations of the Anoa’i family, starting with The Headshrinkers all the way through to The Bloodline.

Reigns and Heyman have both acknowledged that the partnership between them had been discussed for years. They share a strong bond off-screen as well, having been in the same faction for years.

1. Seth Rollins

Rollins and Reigns have one of the most deep-rooted rivalries in modern wrestling. The two started off together in The Shield, and their friendship evolved over the years despite The Architect turning his back on Reigns.

Although their rivalry has continued on-screen despite reunions in the late 2010s, they remain close friends in real-life. Seth Rollins has called Roman Reigns one of his closest friends in wrestling in interviews, and they frequently share texts even when not appearing on screen together.

Reigns and Rollins also share a close bond with Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose), although they don’t appear in the same company anymore with Moxley now in AEW. The erstwhile Lunatic Fringe has undergone a complete transformation in the Jacksonville-based promotion, but his friendship with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins remains constant.
