Last week on SmackDown, Axiom retrieved his stolen mask after Gargano tried to swipe off another one of his masks. The loss of his spoils of war has now put the former WWE Tag Team Champion into a state of melancholy.

WWE star’s old friends refused to help him

Candice LeRae informed Fraxiom about the matter during a backstage segment, saying that Johnny Gargano was like this because of them. In response, Nathan Frazer and Axiom noted that they did nothing wrong, since the mask belonged to Axiom and they just got it back in style.

Adding salt to this, Fraxiom also told LeRae that Gargano was responsible for what happened to him. This prompted the Toxic Pixie to turn to the Motor City Machine Guns to talk to her husband. She said that they were old friends of the former DIY Member and could help him come out of his slump.

An angry Chris Sabin said that, while they had known Gargano for a long time, he had backstabbed them, costing them the WWE Tag Team Championship. Sabin walked out on LeRae, and Alex Shelley followed his tag partner out without saying a word. It would be interesting to see where this storyline stands for Gargano in the future.
