A former Unified Group Services Little 500 winner along with a driver knocking on the door for a win are being inducted into the Little 500 Hall of Fame.
Bobby Santos III, the 2020 winner of the Little 500 has made 12 starts in the spring classic with five top five finishes over the years and a pole position in 2015.

Santos is a regular with the 500 Sprint Car tour and has always been a threat to win at Anderson Speedway.
Shane Hollingsworth has made 17 starts in the Little 500 with a career best runner-up finish in 2020 driving for Nolen Racing.
It seems like every year Hollingsworth is knocking on the door for that first victory in the Little 500.
Both Santos and Hollingsworth are entered in this year’s Little 500.
The third inductee is local resident Dave Sink who has been instrumental in keeping the Little 500 Hall of Fame active over the years.
He is an accomplished photographer and has assembled lots of historical items from the Little 500 dating back to the first race in 1949.

The induction ceremony is set for May 20 at Anderson Speedway.
All three are deserving of the honors.
This past week the nominees for the NASCAR Hall of Fame was announced.
Two nominees from the Modern Era and one from the Pioneer category will be inducted.
Among the list of nominees in the Modern Era are Kevin Harvick, Neil Bonnett, Jeff Burton and Greg Biffle.
Biffle will be a sentimental favorite to be included in the Hall of Fame after dying in a plane crash and for his humanitarian efforts during the storms that hit North Carolina last year.
Harvick is considered the favorite to be inducted based on his career and his continued involvement in racing as a track owner.

I don’t have a vote but would cast a ballot for Harvick and Neil Bonnett.
Bonnett has 18 career wins.
In the Pioneer group I would have voted for Banjo Matthews, who built cars that won more than 250 NASCAR Cup Series races and three championships.
In other racing news: Alex Palou returned to the winner’s circle in IndyCar competition winning at the Barber Motorsports Park on Sunday.
Christian Lundgaard came home second and Grahan Rahal finished on the podium for the first time in several years.
Palou has two wins this season and now trails point leader Kyle Kirkwood by just two markers.
Chase Elliott broke into the winner’s circle in NASCAR by winning on the Martinsville paper clip this past weekend.
