Many wrestlers like to stay in shape after their in-ring retirement. Three-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, The Undertaker, is undoubtedly keeping himself in the best possible condition.
But does he have one more match left in him? The Deadman recently addressed whether he will lace up his wrestling boots again.
The Undertaker drew the curtain on his over 30-year in-ring career following his Boneyard match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. He not only stepped away from wrestling but also moved on from his Deadman gimmick once and for all.
He has since brought back his American Badass character, which he uses whenever he graces the WWE Universe with his presence.
The Undertaker last appeared at Wrestlepalooza on September 20 to announce that Stephanie McMahon would be the first inductee into the Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
In an interview with the ‘2 Bears, 1 Cave’ podcast with Tom Segura, Mark Calaway revealed that he has been living with pain since being retired, but knew he brought it upon himself when he joined wrestling.
The Undertaker further explained why he trains every day.
“I try not to complain about it, because I know. I mean, I knew the whole time that eventually you’re gonna get to that point. I mean, you don’t play the game that hard and not have residual effects… Smoke and mirrors, man. Yeah, that’s kind of key to, and once it’s all over. I was never really like a body guy. I never like really cashed in on what I look like physically. I kept myself in physically good shape, and that becomes really important once you retire. Because that’s when you’re like, ‘Ah, I don’t have to do this anymore now.’ That’s when guys blow up, and they stop moving, and then that’s it. Just all those years come crashing down. They come crashing down on your heart.”
Those holding out hope for one more match, The Undertaker confirmed he will never wrestle again.
“So I do twice the workouts, for half the results, but, you know, it keeps me moving. It keeps my mind going as well, like, you know, although I know I’m not going to get back in the ring and have a match, it’s just better for my mind.”
