However, multiple reports from reliable sources suggest that Umaga’s son may soon make the main roster and join his cousin.

Heading to the main roster, the most obvious move for Zilla would be to join The Bloodline. However, his joining The Bloodline as a member could be a big mistake. Instead, he must debut as Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship challenger.

In this article, we look at three reasons why Zilla Fatu must not join The Bloodline as a member, but instead wage war against his own family on his main-roster debut.

#1. Needs to establish himself as a singles star

Zilla debuted on the developmental brand despite having the option to head straight to the main roster, to establish him first as a singles superstar rather than just another sidekick.

If WWE creatives actually want to build Zilla Fatu as a future big singles superstar, they should make him a challenger to Roman Reigns before he ultimately joins the Bloodline.

A rivalry against the Original Tribal Chief would help introduce The Main One as a top singles star. So, putting him up against The Bloodline is best for business.

#2. Impactful WWE main roster debut

Since Triple H has taken over WWE’s creative team, one thing they have been doing is introducing upcoming stars. Superstars such as Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and a few others are being pushed by the Stamford-based promotion to become future main-eventers.

Given the hype and legacy Zilla Fatu brings, his debut must be a banger to set him up as a contender to become the face of the Stamford-based promotion and a future World Champion.

Therefore, challenging Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship would be a perfect main-roster debut for Umaga’s son. Even a loss to the Original Tribal Chief would get him extremely over, placing him directly in the main event picture.

On the other hand, if he debuts as a Bloodline enforcer, he would become yet another sidekick, which would be a big problem, as fans would see him only as a side character.

#3. Repeated angle

Solo Sikoa started his WWE journey just like Zilla Fatu did. The Street Champion debuted on the developmental brand and then made a main-roster move as Roman Reigns’s enforcer, joining The Bloodline.

If The Main One follows a similar path, it would be a repeated angle and wouldn’t make a great impression. Therefore, if the late Umaga’s son first acts as if he is with The Bloodline, and then turns on Roman Reigns, targeting him to capture the World Heavyweight Championship, it would be a fresh angle.

That said, all the angles proposed above are speculative, and nothing is confirmed yet. Before heading to the main roster, Zilla Fatu has a big test in front of him, as he will face Tony D’Angelo, Grayson Waller, and Cruz Montana in a fatal four-way match for the NXT Championship at the 2026 Heatwave premium live event.
