WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Salt Lake City saw two new champions crowned. CM Punk won back his World Heavyweight Championship while Jade Cargill also scripted her maiden WWE Women’s Championship win against Tiffany Stratton.

The event, however, left a few undesirable results. Drew McIntyre once again lost a title match to Cody Rhodes, despite being highly anticipated to win the gold this time. Similarly, Dominik Mysterio also retained his Intercontinental Championship against Penta and Rusev. It was expected that Dom might finally drop his title to Penta at SNME, but the company went with keeping Dom as the Champion.

These decisions have seemingly left the fans with few questions. In this listicle, we will list three burning questions after SNME.

#3 Has Triple H given up on Drew McIntyre?

Drew McIntyre, for the second time in a row, lost a match to Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship. It’s been more than a year and a half since McIntyre won a WWE title.

Even that win at WrestleMania 40 was a five-minute merriment as Damian Priest spoiled the party for him. Since then, McIntyre’s booking as a superstar has been abysmal. He first lost two matches to CM Punk, and then was out of the limelight. Apart from one average storyline with Damian Priest that culminated at WrestleMania 41, the Scottish Warrior was hardly involved in any compelling storyline.

This raises a very important question. Has Triple H given up on Drew McIntyre? If we look at his booking post his feud with CM Punk, it looks like Hunter has indeed given up on McIntyre. While the fans have been clamoring for the former WWE Champion, the company doesn’t seem to be interested in pushing him. If it really wanted to, then the result at SNME could have been different. It remains to be seen how WWE books Drew McIntyre after this loss against Cody.

#2 Is Tiffany Stratton injured?

Tiffany Stratton’s run as WWE Women’s Champion ended on a dismal note. She dropped the title to Jade Cargill in an average match at SNME, where Tiffany’s performance was much below par than her usual one.

Moreover, the fans have been concerned about her health for quite some time. She had been nursing a knee injury for the past few days, and it got worse when Jade took advantage of Tiffany by attacking the Buff Barbie on her injured knee.

Tiffany’s fans wonder if the Buff Barbie is actually injured. While the company hasn’t provided any official update on this, the truth is, she might be. And after this title loss, the 26-year-old superstar could be away for some time to allow her recovery. Meanwhile, Jade Cargill will now run the show as the newest WWE Women’s Champion.

#1 Is WWE Undisputed Champion, Cody Rhodes, a heel?

Cody Rhodes has been acting weird for the last couple of weeks. He is the biggest babyface of the company, but the American Nightmare hasn’t been acting like one. He is, in fact, exhibiting heel vibes.

The creative team hasn’t pulled off a heel turn for Cody yet, but it looks like the WWE Champion is on the verge of becoming one. It started with a changed demeanor in Cody Rhodes after an attack on Jacob Fatu on SmackDown. There are rumors that Rhodes could be the one behind the attack on Fatu. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis even plainly asked Cody if he had anything to do with the assault on Fatu. But he denied having any role.

The fans have been wondering whether Cody is officially on the path of turning heel. It’s because the way he has won the last two title matches against McIntyre does make the fans believe that he is indeed turning heel.

At SNME, Cody gave a DDT to McIntyre on the title that was brought in by McIntyre, and then capitalized on that by giving him a Cross Rhodes later. Many fans on social media have said that Cody might have just turned heel with that move. And if that’s the case, then it will be interesting to see how the company moves forward with this idea.

Getting Cody to turn heel was always considered a risky move. It remains to be seen if the company was actually going in for another heel turn, especially after a failed heel run of John Cena.
