The Players Championship is behind us, and the Florida Swing is almost over.
While the field this week at Innisbrook Resort isn’t as great as it was a week ago on the PGA Tour, there are still plenty of guys to keep an eye on this week in Palm Harbor, Florida.

Xander Schauffele is the highest-ranked player in the field, and is fresh off his third-place finish last week at TPC Sawgrass. Schauffele hasn’t won yet this season, but he’s got two top-10 finishes in his last three starts. Matt Fitzpatrick, who finished in second behind Cameron Young at The Players, will run it back, too. He’s still looking for his first Tour win since 2023.
Viktor Hovland, who won last year at the Copperhead Course, will try to defend his title. Hovland is coming off back-to-back T13 finishes.
“It’s nice to see at least some results trending in the right direction,” Hovland said on Tuesday. “However, I’ve been still struggling off the tee tremendously. I feel like I’m doing a great job overcoming some of those deficiencies … I do feel like it’s been a real struggle out there on the golf course, but I’ve done a really good job scoring.”
The Valspar Championship will offer a $9.1 million purse this week, which is among the lowest offered this season on Tour. That will leave the winner with a $1.638 million check on Sunday afternoon.
