On Busted Open, the champion was asked about a major move to WWE’s main roster. Paxley stated that she’s ready for a massive career move like this, but wouldn’t want to rush it. She spoke highly of the creative time and her booking on the brand, and believes timing is everything, especially when they call her up.
“1000%. But I’m also in zero rush to get there. I swear. I truly mean it. This is something I’ve learned being in NXT, that timing is everything. My career was a little bit of a slow start, but I would not have wanted that to change at all, especially looking back on it,” Paxley said.
Tatum Paxley will defend her title on WWE NXT
Last year, Tatum Paxley was in The Culling and represented the stable as the NXT Women’s Champion. Unfortunately, it didn’t sit well with Izzi Dame as she and the group turned on Paxley in a title rematch against Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne. Earlier this year, Dame won the NXT Women’s North American Championship from Thea Hail.
Earlier this month, Dame defended her title against Paxley at NXT Vengeance Day and lost. On the latest edition of WWE NXT, the two stars brawled all over the show, and Robert Stone booked a title rematch inside a Steel Cage for next week’s edition.
