As is well known, there can be endless debates about any possible top eleven lineup. Every soccer fan probably has their very own GOAT eleven in mind. Broken down to the last detail, considering what speaks for one player and against another. Every (wannabe) expert has their own opinion on who belongs in such a team. However, there should be a few unwritten rules. Or not?
You have to read over the GOAT team of British reporter Piers Morgan at least twice and count the number of players. But you see correctly. Eleven players, including neither Franz Beckenbauer nor Lionel Messi. One might well question whether this is allowed.
