The Champions Cup round-of-16 continues this evening with three more fixtures around North America.

Here is what has gone down so far.

Monterrey 2-2 Vancouver Whitecaps

Scorers: Canales 4′, Ramos 90+5′ ; Ocampo 56′, White 78′

Vancouver Whitecaps pulled off a famous victory on away goals in Mexico to stun Monterrey and book their ticket to the last-eight.

The hosts, albeit on unfamiliar ground, took the advantage in a flash thanks to a lovely touch and finish from Sergio Canales before the clock struck five minutes.

The unthinkable happened after the break however, as Vancouver showed off a rip-roaring counter that was capped off by Édier Ocampo to put the cat amongst the pigeons and level things on aggregate.

When it looked like Monterrey would enforce their supremacy once more, they were stunned once more in the final 15 minutes when USMNT striker Brian White came off the bench to put the ‘Caps ahead and silence the Rayados faithful.

While the hosts pulled level in stoppage-time on the night through a Sergio Ramos penalty, it was merely consolation as Vancouver had the advantage on away goals.

Still to come
