The group stage of the U-20 World Cup is over! This Sunday, the competition gave us some great moments and, most importantly, the matchups for the Round of 16.
This is how the last day of the first stage of the World Cup unfolded.
The French national team advanced to the Round of 16 by the skin of their teeth, as they regained ground against New Caledonia by winning the match 6-0 to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams.
The African team had to win their match against the group leader, the United States, and they did just that. They secured three valuable points that qualified them as runners-up in Group E and made the Bleus sweat.
