West Ham and Aston Villa faced off in the WSL on Sunday afternoon and the Villans seized control following a goalless first half.
Neither side could find a breakthrough in a lacklustre opening 45 minutes.
However, it was Villa who started the second half brightly and were rewarded with a goal of the highest quality.
Attacker Kirsty Hanson picked up the ball from 20 yards out and nearly burst the net with a hammer of a strike into the top corner.
Was that an early contender for October’s WSL goal of the month award?
